✧ welcome to my little corner of the internet

hello, stranger

Welcome to my extremely unnecessary personal website. I wanted somewhere that felt less like a portfolio and more like walking into someone's bedroom in 2007 and discovering that every surface has books, jewellery, perfume bottles, burned CDs, old photographs and scraps of paper with sentences written on them.

This is where I keep things that don't really belong anywhere else: things I'm reading, things I'm researching, things I'm listening to, half-formed thoughts, quotations I refuse to forget, strange internet discoveries, and occasionally things that are probably better left inside my Notes app.

Don't expect a coherent personal brand here. There is no branding strategy. There is only vibes.

♡ diary / recent transmissions

the tragedy of having seventeen tabs open

I opened one article about Kafka's syntax and somehow ended up reading about the history of Turkish coffee, then looking at Victorian mourning jewellery, then watching interviews with Gillian Flynn.

01 / KAFKA

question: How does Kafka's syntax produce alienation?

current thought: Maybe the feeling of being trapped in Kafka isn't just narrative. Maybe it happens at the sentence level.

02 / LINGUISTICS

question: Why do certain words feel "soft", "ugly", "cold", or "dangerous"?

Looking into sound symbolism, phonesthetics, ideophones and the psychology of language.

03 / DIGITAL HUMANITIES

project: Kafka + computational stylistics.

Someday I want to build something that lets you compare syntactic patterns across Kafka's works.
